LISTEN DEMI, WE’VE GOT TO TALK!
Let me just preface this with the fact that I don’t really like Demi Lovato.
It’s true.
I vaguely remember her from Disney’s Camp Rock, also I believe she had some breakdown a few years ago - who cares?!, and she’s now on the X-Factor (which I’ll be watching — but mostly because of Britney! Duh!).
But I do currently love her song “Give Your Heart a Break.” It’s so catchy — that’s all it really takes for me to fall in love with a pop song. Also, I can dance to it, which is key to having me love your song. So, I can check both of those off my list with “Give Your Heart a Break.”
However, I do have a problem with the music video. There was so much potential there, Demi! How could you?
It was the topic of conversation I had with my friend, Michael Chaplin, this weekend. (I know very highbrow convo!)
Here are three tips, Michael and I came up with to help Demi re-vamp her music video. Seriously, if she follows our guidelines it could launch her career.
#1: BACKUP DANCERS
» Demi, as much as appreciate your closeups while you tug on your coat and give the audience straining/painful looks into the camera — girl, you need backup dancers. Like, right now!

#2: GAYS, GAYS, GAYS
» Obviously, with this song you’re trying to attract the gays (like Madonna, Britney, and Selena Gomez have done in the past). You need to show us you’re seriously courting us with gay hottie backup dancers and a dance routine. You do, do one thing right — you cast a hot boyfriend for the video. Kudos!

But you need to give us MORE — like some dance moves we can copy on the dance floor — ala Oops I Did It Again… got lost in the game ohh baby, baby. Get it?
#3 SLUT IT UP!
» You need to get over your “I’m fat, don’t look at me” phase. It ain’t cute anymore. You got smallish curves and you need to flaunt that shit. Plus, you actually are a cute girl. Despite that big chin — You cute! So, let’s re-think your outfits - more skin and you’ll be set.

Listen Demi, I know this is tough to hear but I believe in you and so do all the gays who love this track. Now, please re-do this video NOW!
kthanksbyeeeeee, JCE.
