Here’s a segment I produced for MSNBC’s The Dylan Ratigan Show on Tuesday. I saw a screening of this interesting film on Friday called “Act of Valor”, which will hit theaters this Friday.

The movie is an action-packed flick that uses real Navy Seals instead of actors for the leads… which means that the action is extremely authentic. The filmmakers even allowed live ammunition for some of the action scene. The plot revolves around a group of Navy Seals who try to foil an international terror plot.

The filmmakers knew that the actions part of the movie would be their selling point - and they definitively let them play out. The dialogue fell a bit flat during the movie - but it should be expected these men aren’t real actors. There were a few touching parts in the movie: when the soldiers were saying goodbye to their families and the ending saying goodbye to a fallen soldier. You can tell that these men are more than just killing machines.

I’m sure this movie will do wondering at the box office this weekend. Go and watch it — it will have you feel super-Patriotic.
